Features new to Windows Vista

September 12, 2006

The joys of wandering through Wikipedia… I came across this article while searching for some interface API references for creating Vista applications.  The list appears to be several pages long and was last update on Sunday (10 Sept), so it appears that the public is keeping the article somewhat up-to-date with production changes in RC1.

In general, it’s a nice reference of what’s to come with Vista–both a blessing and a warning to developers and integrators.

Windows Vista (formerly codenamed Windows “Longhorn”) has many significant new features compared to previous Microsoft Windows versions, covering almost every aspect of the operating system.

The full extent of the new features to be included in Windows Vista has not been stated formally, so this is not a complete list.
