Fixing Corrupted Indexes in Omea Reader

September 28, 2007

Late last night, my indexes appeared to corrupt in Omea.  😦  The “rebuilding index” functionality that auto-launches after a detected failure didn’t seem to cut it.

So, for those who experience the problem, the “fix” for me was to simply delete the indexes.  The indexes are located in your Omea \db directory and are named with *.index.dbUtil.  Wipe those out, restart Omea and it’ll rebuild them.  It took ages: “Indexing 128,839 documents,” but resolved the problem.
