ReSharper 4.0 EAP Nightly Builds RELEASED!

February 15, 2008

The guys at JetBrains came through midafternoon today (evening over there) and have published up the first nightly build of ReSharper 4.0 EAP.  These nightly builds, they warn, are VERY early releases, but get the bigs in developers hands.

You can find out more information here and read the ReSharper 4.0 notes regarding C# 3.0 support here.

They did add that anonymous error logs WILL NOT even be looked at, so be sure to sign up for an account to submit responses and allow them to contact for more information—it’s worth it to have a solid release!

    WOOT! Linq & Lambda’s not so pretty but the Refactoring is top-notch (from what I’ve used).

    using (TDataContext database = new TDataContext()) { /*…*/}

    CTRL + ALT + O F -> Full =

    using (var database = new TDataContext()) { /*…*/ }

    I miss CTRL ALT O but I’ll get used to it in due time. 🙂

    Yeah, I need to sit, dink, and get used to the new hot keys… so far so good.

    Only snafu I’ve hit was Renaming in a partial class of the DataContext… crashes out like crazy. Seems hit and miss though; one project does it (one for work), and one doesn’t (webgallery2)… odd deal.

    Been sending in reports everytime it happens.
